White Pond

Oct 28, 2007 by BooBee | Add comment
Weather: Cool & Very Windy
Water Temp: 57 Degress

Took the porta-bote to White Pond today to try out a new lake. White Pond is a nice size lake for a small boat with a newly renovated fishing dock and boat launch. Water levels were very low so tons of structure is currently exposed. I took some photos because the water line on some of the rocks gave a clear indication that most of the structure/rocks along the shoreline are norally submerged. Here are a few shots...

White Pond is a shallow lake with a maximum depth of about 12-15ft. It has a very rocky and steep shoreline from what I could scout with the southern section loaded with weeds. All my fish today came out of the southern section within the weeds. This area was most productive (GPS) 41.497219, -73.722144. I stood several feet from shore fishing light weed patches that produced bites as well as relatively close to the rocks. My biggest fish was a little over 2lbs (best guess; not weighed).
